A community aphasia group of Northern Colorado
STAR is a welcoming place to find community, share experiences, and work through the challenges of aphasia — together with people who understand.
STAR will be taking a break in August, but group members plan to get together informally at a brewery in Fort Collins on August 25. Reach out to facilitators if you are interested in attending.

A community built around connection.
When does STAR meet?
The last Friday of every month, from 1:30 – 2:30 PM. Time to chat and share snacks before (1:15 – 1:30) and after (2:30 – 2:45).
Who is STAR for?
People with aphasia and their loved ones. Group facilitators include speech-language pathologists and UNC graduate clinicians.

STAR is co-facilitated by experienced speech-language pathologists along with graduate students from the University of Northern Colorado Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Clinic.

Parking is available just outside the clinic.
Driving Directions
- If driving south on 8th Avenue, the parking lot entrance is just south of the stoplight at 8th Avenue and 18th Street.
- If driving north on 8th Avenue, turn left at 19th Street, then immediately turn right. Continue around Bond Hall, between the Arts Annex and Dickeson Hall, into the Gunter Hall parking lot.
Entering the Building
Enter Gunter Hall through the southeast, garden-level entrance.
We will have a parking permit for you when you arrive and will show you to the room.
